Pinewood Estates is lucky to have such a great location in Idaho Falls and part of that is the fantastic Greenbelt on the Snake River. The Greenbelt is a great place to spend the afternoon or evening with your family, and there’s plenty to enjoy.
The Greenbelt trail is five miles of beautiful scenery on both sides of the Snake River that takes you past the 600-foot waterfall that Idaho Falls is named after. There are playground areas on both the northern and southern part of the park for kids to enjoy. You can check out the different memorials on the trail, stop at The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho or McClure Flower Garden, and even fish or play disc golf. Don’t forget to take advantage of one of the picnic shelters! To plan your visit, check out the website here.
Every Tuesday evening at the Greenbelt through August from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the EIRMC River Concert Series brings a different artist or group to perform, sponsored by various community members and local businesses. The concerts are free to the public and take place on the Greenbelt Stage, located between D & E on Memorial Drive. Make sure to bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and feel free to pack a picnic dinner to enjoy your night along the river. For more information, click here or view the individual event pages for each performance here.
